Mr Frank Daujat survived the bombing of Pearl Harbour and then went onto serving in USN Submarines for the remainder of WWII. The purpose of the visit was for Mr Daujat and two family members to meet with Commanding Officer HMAS Stirling, Captain Brian Delamont, RAN, and Commander William Dull, USN, also to visit Diamantina Pier for a brief, attend a luncheon, and conduct a tour of HMAS Stirling.
