Retired Capt. Royce Brademan, SC, USN

Capt. Brademan, 94, passed away in May 2014. Capt. Brademan with 33 years of active service while serving at Defense Supply Agency, Cameron Station, Alexandria, Virginia. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1941, and was commissioned a Lieutenant in the Supply Corps in 1947. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas. Duty stations included Naval Reserve Aviation Base, Long Beach, California; Naval Air Station, and Naval Air Training Center, Corpus Christi, Texas; USS Muliphen; Military Sea Transportation Service, Washington, D.C.; Naval Station, Argentia, Newfoundland; Naval Air Technical Training Center, Norman, Oklahoma; USS Ticonderoga; Aviation Supply Office, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Naval Air Station, Atsugi, Japan; Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland; and Fleet Air Mediterranean, Naples, Italy.

Retired Capt. Michael Caverly, SC, USN

Capt. Caverly, 81, passed away in December 2014. Capt. Caverly retired after serving as Director, Management Consulting Division, Naval Audit Service, Falls Church, Virginia. He received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and his Master’s Degree from Stanford University. Duty stations include USS Regulus (AF57); Supply Officer, USS William Seiverling (DE441); Nuclear Weapons Training Center, Pacific; U.S. Naval Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia; U.S. Naval Support Activity, DaNang, Republic of Vietnam; Supply Officer, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion TEN; Navy Supply Corps School, Athens, Georgia; Naval Supply Systems Command, Washington, D.C.; Naval Supply Center, San Diego, California; Assistant Chief of Staff for Supply, Commander, Naval Surface Group, Western Pacific, and Commanding Officer, Naval Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Retired Capt. Fred Garner, SC, USN

Capt. Garner, 79, passed away in January 2015. Capt. Garner retired with 32 years of active service after serving as Director of Supply Corps Personnel, Naval Supply Systems Command, Washington, D.C. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his Master’s Degree from George Washington University. Duty stations included Deputy Commander, Fleet Support, Logistics and Corporate Plans, NAVSUP; Commanding Officer, Naval Supply Center, Charleston, South Carolina; Executive Officer, Fleet Material Support Office, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Supply Officer, USS Orion (AS 18); Naval Supply Systems Command and Navy Accounting and Finance Center, Washington, D.C.; USS Arcturus (AF 52); Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, Washington, D.C.; Naval Supply Depot, Newport, Rhode Island; and USS Stribling (DD 867).

Retired Capt. Donald Gordon, SC, USN

Capt. Gordon, 86, passed away in August 2014. Capt. Gordon retired with 25 years of service after serving as Supply Officer, Charleston Naval Shipyard, South Carolina. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1946 and served until 1947. He returned to the U.S. Navy in June 1951 as an Ensign in the Supply Corps. Capt. Gordon received his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, and his master’s degree from Naval Postgraduate School. Duty stations included USS Rankin (AKA 103); USS Kimberly (DD 521); Naval Minecraft Base, Charleston, South Carolina; Naval Station, Kodiak, Alaska; Naval Air Station, Norfolk, Virginia; USS Vulcan (AR 5); Staff, Commander, Amphibious Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Virigina; District Supply Officer, Fifteenth Naval District, Balboa, Canal Zone; and Naval Supply Systems Command Headquarters, Washington, D.C.

Retired Capt. Edmund Waller, Jr., SC, USN

Capt. Waller, 83, passed away in August 2014. Capt. Waller retired in after 24 years of active naval service while serving at Naval Supply Systems Command Headquarters, Washington, D.C. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina and his master’s degree from George Washington University.
