92, passed away on August 7, 2016. Capt. Olin retired after 29 years of active service while serving at Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters, Washington, District of Columbia. He received his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland and his master’s degree from Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California. Duty assignments included: USS Ault (DD 698); Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, and Provisions Supply Office, Washington, District of Columbia; Commissary Store, Naval Station, Roosevelt Roads, Ceiba, Puerto Rico; Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, Virginia; USS Observation Island (AG 154); Ordnance Supply Office, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Naval Weapons Support Activity, Washington, District of Columbia; Joint Staff, Naval Advisory Group, Military Assistance Command, Saigon, Vietnam; Defense Supply Activity, Cameron Station, Alexandria, Virginia; and Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington, District of Columbia.
