Retired Capt. Robert H. Wilson, SC, USN

96, passed away. Capt. Robert H. Wilson retired with 23 years of active service while serving at the Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia. He was appointed an ensign in the inactive Naval Reserve in June 1941. He reported for active duty later that same month, and transferred to the Regular Navy in March 1943. He graduated from Northwestern University and received his master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Duty assignments included: Staff, Naval Training School (Aviation), Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois; Naval Aviation Cadet Selection Board, Chicago, Illinois; USS Mizar (AF 12); Naval Supply Depot, Oakland, California; the Bureau of Supplies & Accounts, Washington, DC; Navy Ship’s Store Office, Brooklyn, New York; Staff, Commandant, Eighth Naval District, New Orleans, Louisiana; U.S. Naval Receiving Station, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; David Taylor Model Basin, Carderock, Maryland; USS Iowa (BB 61); and Norfolk Naval Shipyard Portsmouth.
