84, passed away. Capt. Robert W. “Ace” Davis retired with 31 years of active service at the Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg, Virginia. He received his bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and his master’s degree from U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He later attended and graduated from both the Naval War College Command and Staff Course and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Duty stations included: Office of the Commander in Chief, U.S. Naval Forces, Europe; Naval Supply Depot, Yokosuka, Japan; Staff, Commander Sixth Fleet; Naval Supply Center, Charleston, South Carolina; Naval Supply Systems Command, Washington, DC; Industrial College of Armed Forces, Washington, DC; Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (I&L), Washington, DC; Naval Station, Keflavik, Iceland; Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, DC; USS Annapolis (AGMR 1); U.S. Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida; and USS Vogelgesang (DD 862).
