Vice Admiral Robert F. Batchelder was born in 1895 and served on active duty from 1917 through 1957. During his career he served aboard six different ships and provided unparalleled support during both World War I and II. He graduated from the Harvard Business School in 1926 and he retired as a Vice Admiral in 1957 after serving as Inspector General at the Bureau of Supplies and Accounts (now Naval Supply Systems Command).
