Retired Capt. John Titus Jr., SC, USN, 55, passed away on June 14, 2019. Titus retired from the Navy after 26 years of active service while serving at Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He recieved his bachelor’s degree at U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland, and his master’s degree at Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island. Duty assignments include: Navy Supply Corps School, Athens, Georgia; Headquarters, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Norfolk, Virginia; Commander, Expeditionary Strike Group ONE, San Diego, California; Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Program Executive Officer, Strike Weapons and Unmanned Aviation, Patuxent River, Maryland; Program Executive Officer, Tactical Aircraft Programs, Patuxent River, Maryland; USS Simon (AS 33); Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, San Diego, California; USS Coronado (AFG 11); Naval Air Station Lemoore, California; and Commander, Strike Figher Squadron, 146, San Fransisco, California.
