Cmdr. John Anderson

     Retired Supply Corps officer, Cmdr. John Anderson (better known as Jace to close friends and family), age 54, died peacefully at home with his family and friends present in Virginia Beach on June 17, 2013, after a brief illness. [caption id="attachment_1394" align="alignright" width="242"]

Cmdr. John Anderson       Born February 4, 1959 in Long Island, he attended Catholic Central High School where he excelled in academics and soccer, attended SUNY Albany where he obtained his bachelor's degree, and graduated from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey, Calif. with a master's degree.  He served in the United States Navy on active duty until he retired Oct. 1, 2012, attaining the rank of Commander.       His Navy career took him around the globe from Japan to Kuwait to Diego Garcia to the Philippines and crisscrossing the United States.  His wife, daughter, stepson and stepdaughter survive him.  A private graveside service was held in Saratoga Springs.
