Lt. Cmdr. Mort Richardson

     Retired Navy Supply Corps officer, Lt. Cmdr. “Mort” Richardson, passed away Jan. 26, 2013.  He graduated from Riverside High School in 1945 and Riverside City College in 1946, and was later admitted to the U.S. Naval Academy in 1946, and graduated in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Science, Electrical and Marine Engineering. Lt. Cmdr. Mort Richardson      His first tours of duty included serving during the Korean War.  He went on to serve 10 years on active duty as a Supply Corps officer, serving on ships in the Pacific, Japan, Korea, Atlantic, Europe, Caribbean; including Air Logistics-Pacific/Asia/Mid-East; Navy Shipbuilding office, Baltimore, Md.  He then transitioned to the Navy Reserve.  His wife, three children and 14 grandchildren survive him.
