Ms. Jane McMullen has been selected as Naval Supply Systems Command’s (NAVSUP’s) newest Senior Executive Service member. She will serve as Assistant Commander for Corporate Operations (N1/N5).
Ms. McMullen brings 35 years of specialized experience to this position, having served in numerous leadership and professional positions that have developed her skills and abilities. She most recently served as Director, Organizational Management/Expeditionary Logistics Directorate, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, where she directed all DLA Distribution efforts relative to workforce planning and development in support of organizational requirements. She provided oversight and guidance on all efforts pertaining to personnel readiness for 6,800 civilian and 345 military active duty/reservist personnel. Her efforts included a strong focus on career progression, leadership and workforce development, functional community management and succession planning. Prior to this position, she served as Chief, Office of Corporate Planning and Communications, at DLA Distribution New Cumberland, directing strategic and workforce planning efforts, as well as providing strategic communications guidance and executing the corporate business planning process.
Prior to serving at DLA New Cumberland, Ms. McMullen was Director, Enterprise Planning Division, Naval Supply Systems Command, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. In this position, she provided oversight for strategic planning and assessment. She also directed the development of the NAVSUP strategic planning process, and served as the functional lead for products and services overnance. Additionally, Ms. McMullen had served as NAVSUP’s Director, Human Capital Management Division; Director, Strategic Business Division; and Deputy Director, Navy Food Service Division.
Ms. McMullen received the Under Secretary of the Navy Beacon Team Award, DLA Humanitarian Service Team Award in support of Operation United Assistance, the DLA Meritorious Civilian Service Award, Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award and the NAVSUP Supervisor/Team Lead of the Year Award. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from West Virginia University, and a master’s degree from Penn State University in Public Administration. She was a member of Defense Leadership and Management Program and the NAVSUP’s Corporate Management Development Program.
Ms. McMullen will be a great asset to our Enterprise. Her credentials and experience have provided her the know-how, sound judgment, and competence to make NAVSUP’s Corporate Operations tremendously successful.
