Retired Capt. Carlos L. “Tom” Tolleson, SC, USN

Capt. Carlos “Tom” Tolleson, 97, passed away. Capt. Tolleson retired in 1965 with 29 years of active service while serving at the Defense Supply Agency, Alexandria, Virginia. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1936, was commissioned an Ensign in 1942, and transferred from the Line to the Supply Corps in 1946. He graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and received his Master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Duty stations included: USS Colorado; USS Bennington; Bureau of Naval Personnel, Washington, D.C.; Long Beach Naval Shipyard, California; Naval Ammunition Depot, Guam; Bureau of Supplies and Accounts, Washington, D.C.; Provisions Supply Office, Washington, D.C.; USS Leyte Gulf; staff, Naval Air Force, Pacific Fleet; student, Armed Forces Staff College, Norfolk, Virginia; and staff, U.S. Naval Forces Europe, London, England.
