Harbor recently traveled to Okinawa, Japan to ride the USS Germantown (LSD 42), a forward deployed ship, while she was on her way home to Sasebo. The NFMT was onboard to help conduct a Supply Limited Training Team (LTT) 1.2 event as requested by the NFMT Yokosuka. With five days underway, there were plenty of opportunities for the team to conduct “hands on and over the shoulder” training with the Culinary Specialists. The team conducted training on cake decorations, bread, pies and pastry making demonstrations. The team was also able to train the Culinary Specialists on garnishing, wardroom set-up, and napkin folding.

It was a great opportunity the Food Service Team aboard Germantown appreciated.
