Capt. Clement Meehan

     Retired Navy Reserve Supply Corps officer, Capt. Clement Meehan, passed away Nov. 6, 2012, after a brief, but determined battle with cancer.      Born Aug. 21, 1942 in Philadelphia, he graduated in 1960 from North Catholic High School and attended Drexel University for one year before entering the U.S. Naval Academy in 1961.  He graduated in June 1965, and was commissioned an ensign in the Supply Corps.  After completing Supply Corps School in Athens, Ga., he spent 13 years on active duty on two destroyers, mixed with shore duty billets at U.S. Naval Academy, Aviation Supply in Philadelphia, and at his final billet as a Contracting officer at Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C.  After active duty, Capt. Meehan remained in the Navy Reserve and retired as a captain.      He is survived by one son, two brothers and two sisters.  A memorial Mass was held on Dec. 10, 2012 at the Naval Academy Chapel and his ashes were interred with his wife in the Naval Academy Columbarium.
