LS3 Dawn Elizabeth Holt “This is a great loss to our Navy family,” said NAVSUP FLC Sigonella Commanding Officer, Capt. Robert Gantt.  “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this most difficult time.” She was born Jan. 3, 1977 in Decatur, Ga., and enlisted in the Navy in 2007.  She was a member of the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella team, stationed in Naples.  Her previous duties include the Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Ill.; Naval Technical Training Center Meridian, Miss.; and USS George Washington (CVN 73).  Holt began her Naples assignment in August 2012.  Her energetic smile, positive attitude, and her giving spirit are missed by those knew her.  Memorial services were held for her in Italy before her body was returned to the U.S. for a funeral service held February 7 at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel.  Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Ga. She is survived by her mother, stepfather, and three sisters.
