Aviation Support Detachment (ASD) McGuire successfully completed a Supply Management Inspection this past February, achieving extraordinary results.
The inspection team consisted of Commander, Naval Air Forces and Commander, Naval Air Forces Reserve logistics experts. A U.S. Navy robust inspection checklist was used to grade all areas of logistics operations, including parts issue-response-time, inventory accuracy, tracking and reporting of retrograde, training and security.
“A very challenging inspection, but once again, our Aviation Support Detachment knocked the ball out of the park,” stated Lt. Cmdr. Juan Cabral, ASD Officer. “I work with an impressive team that sets the highest standards that other ASDs can emulate”.
ASD consists of 33 Sailors, Marines and Navy/Air force civilian personnel, and provides logistics support to C-130 aircraft from Fleet Logistics Support Six-Four (VR-64), CH-53 helicopters from Marine Heavy Helicopter (HMH)-772, and Huey and Cobra helicopters from Marine Light Attack Helicopter (HMLA)-773 Detachment B. Additionally, hundreds of requisitions for consumable material are processed in support of squadrons in the Central Command Area of Responsibility.
“Every single program did very well, and I’m really proud to serve with these outstanding warriors,” stated Cmdr. Frank Seguin, FRC/ASD Officer-in-Charge.
